The third week held a lot of new experiences for Adam and me. Sebastian, lead engineer at HydroSys in Canada, was in SPS for four days to consult with Jose. We spoke with him about the consulting business and engineering practice in that market. Alberto supervised the transportation of the imported gates from the port warehouse to Canjel and allowed Adam and me to travel with him and observe. The ingenuity the warehouse workers displayed—having only one forklift to move and position four massive crates, each weighing multiple tons and on a very small truck bed—fascinated us.
Adam and I experienced some fun opportunities away from work this past week. Daniela, Jose’s oldest daughter, took Adam and me to a college-aged youth group Saturday evening at their church and then took us to a huge festival in the city that night. Sunday evening Alberto, Mario, Adam and I went to TGI Friday’s for appetizers and watched the Cleveland and Golden State basketball game.
